Within the framework of the project AFID Erasmus+CBHE Providing of Academic Freedom and Inclusion through Digitalization, Ref: 101081850 - AFID - ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE, the first meeting of participants has started. The AFID project aims to strengthen the academic freedom and inclusiveness of students and teachers by creating a multi-institutional virtual campus. The project participants decided to join the efforts of representatives from Sweden, Portugal, Spain and Ukraine to create this campus, develop inter-university agreements and policies, ensure the quality of digital education and implement inclusive online courses in the field of entrepreneurship.

The project consortium consists of: 

1. Royal Institute of Technology (KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden) - project coordinator. 

2. University of Lisbon (University of Lisbon, Lisbon, Portugal). 

3. Alcalá University (Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, Spain). 

Partners from Ukraine: 

1. State University of Trade and Economics (Kyiv) - national coordinator. 

2. Lviv Polytechnic National University (Lviv) 

3. Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics (Kharkiv). 

4. Dnipro University of Technology (Dnipro). 

and Public organization: 

"Public Synergy" project. 


The meeting took place at the Royal Institute of Technology from March 12 to 18, 2023. During this period, the participants discussed project implementation strategies and studied the experience of their European partners in building digital educational platforms. Two representatives from the Dnipro Polytechnic, Iryna Udovik, dean of the Faculty of Information Technologies, and Olena Churikanova, head of the Department of Economics and Economic Cybernetics, also participated in this meeting. 

The participants arrived at the venue of the meeting at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Registration and establishment of contacts between project participants has begun. Project partners from each country presented their concepts for creating a multi-institutional virtual campus and discussed possible ways of cooperation and implementation of the project.

The participants focused on studying the experience of European partners in building digital educational platforms. The discussion covered the technical and methodological aspects of creating an inclusive virtual campus. 

The groups began work on specific project tasks, such as the development of inter-university agreements, internal policies of the organization and the introduction of inclusive online courses. 

Project partners held additional consultations and working groups to resolve issues that arose during the previous days. Plans for further work on the project were also discussed. 

The participants presented their results and the progress of work on the project tasks at the general session. There were discussions on strategies for implementing inclusive education through digital platforms. 

The meeting ended with a presentation of conclusions and further planning of work on the project. The participants exchanged contacts and agreed on further steps in the implementation of the Erasmus+ AFID project.
